Accessibility Statement

Vulkanland Camping Riegersburg GmbH is committed to making the website www.camping-riegersburg.at accessible. This is done in accordance with the Federal Act on Accessible Access to Websites and Mobile Applications of Public Sector Bodies (Web Accessibility Act – WZG). Accordingly, this statement is issued pursuant to Section 3 of the WZG. It implements Directive (EU) 2016/2102. Therefore, it applies to the website https://www.camping-riegersburg.at.

Compliance Status

Currently, this website is partially compliant with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at conformance level AA. This means that many areas already meet accessibility standards. However, some content is not yet fully accessible. Therefore, improvements are being made on an ongoing basis.

Non-Accessible Content

Although we continuously work on improving accessibility, some areas do not yet fully comply with the requirements.

Alternative Texts:
In some cases, images and icons do not contain sufficiently descriptive alternative text. As a result, screen reader users may experience limitations. Therefore, these elements are being reviewed and updated.

Forms and Interactive Elements:
In addition, certain form fields and buttons lack proper labels. In some cases, programmatic associations are missing. Consequently, assistive technologies may not interpret these elements correctly.

Semantics and Structure:
Furthermore, ARIA attributes and roles are not always used consistently. The heading structure is also not fully optimized. Because of this, navigation and content understanding may be affected.

Contrast:
Moreover, in some sections the contrast between text and background is insufficient. As a result, readability may be reduced. This particularly affects users with visual impairments.

These issues were identified through an automated review using the “WAVE Web Accessibility Evaluation Tool.” However, a manual review is also planned. In this way, additional improvements can be identified.

Reasons for Existing Barriers

Some barriers exist due to technical limitations. Others result from third-party components that cannot be fully customized. Nevertheless, full accessibility remains our goal. Therefore, improvements will continue as part of ongoing technical development.

Planned Measures

In order to improve accessibility further, Camping Riegersburg is implementing several measures.

These include:

  • Adding and improving alternative texts

  • Correcting and clearly assigning form labels

  • Optimizing structure and contrast ratios

  • Improving semantic markup and ARIA roles

Through these actions, accessibility and usability will be strengthened step by step.
