General Terms and Conditions (GTC)

The following General Terms and Conditions apply to all legal transactions between the tenant(s) or customer(s) and Camping Resort Riegersburg (Vulkanlandcamping Riegersburg GmbH) as the landlord. By completing a booking, the tenant expressly accepts these terms. Any deviating provisions, in particular the tenant’s own terms and conditions, shall not apply unless we expressly agree to them in writing.

RENTAL PROPERTY

The rental property includes, according to the rental agreement, either a campsite pitch, a caravan with awning, a mobile home, a camping barrel, or a glamping tent, including the respective inventory.

Only persons listed in the rental agreement may use the rental property. Therefore, after receiving the travel documents, the tenant must immediately verify that all details correspond to the booking. If any discrepancies arise, the tenant must contact the campsite without delay.

Subject to availability, the landlord and tenant may agree on a specific rental unit. However, if the booked unit is not available, we will provide a substitute rental unit of the same size, at the agreed price and for the agreed period. In this case, the tenant is not entitled to any compensation claims.

The tenant may book electronically, in writing, by telephone, or online. By submitting the booking, the tenant makes a binding offer. Furthermore, the tenant must provide all required information completely and truthfully. The contract becomes effective once we send the booking confirmation in writing or electronically.

Smoking is strictly prohibited in mobile homes, caravans, camping barrels, and tents.

RENTAL PRICE

The rental price does not include the local tourist tax, registration fees, or other campsite charges (e.g., waste disposal or pet fees). Therefore, the tenant must pay these fees separately.

PETS

Pets are allowed only in designated rental units. The tenant must declare pets at the time of booking. In addition, the corresponding campsite fees must be paid separately on site.

The tenant must not leave pets unattended in or around the rental property. A maximum of two pets per rental unit is permitted.

For mobile homes, rental caravans, camping barrels, and rental tents, the following also applies:
Pets are not allowed in beds. The tenant must bring pet bedding, bowls, and other necessary items. Moreover, we charge an additional cleaning fee of € 50 per pet.

TENANT

The minimum age for tenants is 18 years. The tenant must remain present on site for the entire rental period. In addition, the tenant is responsible for the accuracy of all information provided in the rental agreement.

Persons under 18 years of age may not stay alone. Otherwise, we will issue a site ban. Parents are liable for their children.

REBOOKINGS

A rebooking occurs when the tenant changes the rental property, rental period, date, type of accommodation, season period, or main tenant. In such cases, we charge a rebooking fee of € 15.

If the rebooking causes financial disadvantages, the cancellation terms under the section “Cancellation” apply accordingly. Rebookings are only possible within the current season. Transfers to the following season are not permitted.

CHECK-IN

The tenant may check in from 4:00 p.m. local time (pitches from 2:00 p.m.), unless otherwise stated in the voucher.

The tenant must treat the rental property with due care. Before leaving, the tenant secures the unit against storms. Therefore, windows, doors, and awnings must be closed. In addition, tent fixings such as pegs and ropes must be checked.

CHECK-OUT

The tenant must vacate the rental property by 10:00 a.m. local time (pitches by 12:00 p.m.), unless otherwise stated in the voucher.

The tenant empties water containers and waste tanks. Dishes must be washed and stored properly. Furthermore, the dishwasher and refrigerator must be emptied, and waste must be disposed of. Chemical toilets must be emptied and cleaned. Finally, the tenant locks the unit, returns furniture to its original position, closes the awning, and returns the keys.

In addition, the tenant reviews and signs the handover protocol.

EARLY ARRIVAL OR LATE DEPARTURE

If the tenant exceeds the specified times, we charge an additional overnight fee. Furthermore, the tenant indemnifies us against any claims made by subsequent tenants.

SITE REGULATIONS

The tenant must comply with the campsite regulations. If violations occur, we may issue a site ban. In such cases, no claims may be made against the landlord.

There is no entitlement to a specific pitch location, size, or condition. Moreover, seasonal or infrastructure-related fluctuations in water or electricity supply may occur. Wi-Fi and TV reception cannot be guaranteed.

In most cases, one parking space for a car is included. However, it may not be located directly next to the rental unit. The campsite assigns the parking space.

Additional tents are not permitted. Furthermore, the tenant must follow instructions given by campsite staff, as otherwise a site ban may result.

LIABILITY

The tenant is liable for any damage caused personally. However, we do not assume liability for personal belongings, vehicles, bicycles, or similar items, particularly in cases of theft or natural events.

We are liable only for damages caused by gross negligence on our part.

CANCELLATION

If no in-house cancellation package was booked, the following cancellation fees apply:

Up to 60 days before arrival: 20% of the rental price
Up to 30 days before arrival: 50%
From 29 days before arrival: 90%
From 3 days before arrival: 100%

The tenant must submit cancellations immediately and in writing. Subsequent claims for reimbursement are excluded.

PAYMENT TERMS

Within 14 days of booking, the tenant pays a deposit of 20%. The remaining balance is to be paid on the campsite.

For short-term bookings, the full amount is payable immediately upon receipt of the booking confirmation. We release the rental property for use only after full payment has been received.

PLACE OF JURISDICTION

Austrian law applies exclusively. For all disputes arising from this contractual relationship, the competent District Court of Feldbach shall have jurisdiction.

SEVERABILITY CLAUSE

If any provision of these GTC is or becomes invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain unaffected. In such cases, the invalid provision shall be replaced by a valid one that most closely reflects the economic intent of the original clause. The same applies in the event of contractual gaps.
